WYATT POSTS RADFORD’S BEST-EVER FINISH AT NATIONALS

EUGENE, Ore. – Radford's Vincent Wyatt clocked a 13.60 in Saturday's final of the men's 110-meter hurdles to finish sixth in the nation at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships contested at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.
Wyatt's sixth-place showing is the best-ever finish by a Highlander at nationals. Kyle Morse took eighth in the hammer throw in 2010. Based on placing sixth, Wyatt earned first-team All-America honors. He joins Morse as the only two first-team All-Americans in program history. It was the second time in Wyatt's career he secured All-America status. Wyatt was an indoor All-American in the 60-meter hurdles in 2013.
Oregon's Devon Allen pulled off a stunning upset to win the national title. The freshman, which plays wide receiver for the Ducks' football team, ran a 13.16 to edge Aleec Harris of USC by .02 of a second. Defending champion Wayne Davis II of Texas A&M clocked a 13.24 to claim third. Greggmar Swift (Indiana State-13.35) and Eddie Lovett (Florida-13.44) placed fourth and fifth, respectively.
Wyatt concluded a tremendous 2013-14 season, which featured 10 individual titles. Today's 13.60 performance matched Wyatt's Big South and Radford record he set at the East Regional two weeks ago.
