LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Radford volleyball team responded from its Friday night setback by blanking North Dakota State 3-0 (25-23, 26-24, 25-16) Saturday morning inside the Pan American Center.

With the win, the Highlanders (5-2) concluded the La Quinta Invitational hosted by New Mexico State with a 2-1 record, which included a five-set victory over California yesterday.

Behind 12 kills and 12 digs, Rachel Wiechecki charted her sixth double-double of the season to lead Radford. Maddie Palmer put down a season-high 11 kills, while Savannah Cantrell narrowly missed double figures with nine.

Jena Braden assisted on 34 Highlander attacks, while Kelby Jackson tallied a match-high 19 digs. RU finished the match with more kills (41-34) and digs (60-51) than the Bison (1-5).

Emily Miron cranked 11 kills for NDSU, while Jenni Fassbender (13), Emily Milligan (13) and Mikaela Purnell (11) paced the digging department. The Bison outblocked Radford, 10-4.

Following a successful trip to New Mexico, the Highlanders return to the New River Valley for Tuesday's nonconference battle with Hampton. First serve is slated for 6 p.m. inside the Dedmon Center.
