HOW IT HAPPENED
- Playing in its second five-set match of the day, Radford was able to prevail over tournament host Georgia State to pick up its first road win of the season.
- Despite falling behind 11-4 in the second stanza, the Highlanders rallied for the 27-25 victory.
- Trailing 17-14 in the fourth frame, Radford outscored the Panthers, 11-4, the rest of the way to propel the Highlanders into their fourth five-setter of the season.
- RU raced out to a 7-1 advantage in the decisive fifth set.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Maddie Palmer led four Highlanders in double-figure kills with 21. She added 12 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. It was her fourth 20-kill match through Radford's eight matches.
- Following a career-high 19 kills earlier in the day, Megan Short totaled 15 kills against the Panthers.
- Savanna Burton chalked up her fifth double-double of the season (14 kills and 14 digs).
- Mandy Napierala hit .435 on her way to a season-high 11 kills.
- Haley Kleespies recorded her fifth double-double of the season behind 59 assists and 11 digs.
- Kelby Jackson contributed a career-high 30 digs, breaking the 20-dig mark for the third time this season.
- Deidra Bohannon uncorked 27 kills to lead three Panthers in double figures, offensively.
