CALDWELL AND MANNEPALLI EARN WINS IN 5-2 LOSS TO WINTHROP

RADFORD, Va. – Alexandros Caldwell and Nikhil Mannepalli earned singles victories as Radford dropped a 5-2 Big South matchup to Winthrop, Thursday afternoon at Radford University Tennis Complex.

Mannepalli gave the Highlanders their first victory on the day in No. 6 singles, defeating Aditya Gokhale (6-4, 6-2).

In possibly the most exciting match on the day, Caldwell collected a 7-6, (7-2), 1-6, 7-6 (7-5) win in No. 2 singles versus Tremayne Mitchell.

Radford (0-8) will play two matches on Saturday, hosting in-state Bluefield for a 9 a.m. match and North Carolina A&T for a 2 p.m. matchup.
