MANNEPALLI EARNS TWO WINS IN 5-2 LOSS AT GARDNER-WEBB

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Radford concluded the road portion of its 2016 Big South schedule with a 5-2 loss to Gardner-Webb, Friday afternoon at the Webb Tennis Courts.

The Highlanders started the match off hot, earning the doubles point as the teams of Jose Moreno Manzano/Michiel Meekers and Nikhil Mannepalli/Samuel Taylor earn 7-6 victories.

Mannepalli gave Radford its other point on the day with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 win over Benjamin Kaszas in No. 4 singles.

With the win, Mannepalli improves to 5-9 on the season and 3-5 in Big South play.

The Highlanders wrap up Big South play tomorrow against UNC Asheville in a neutral site match at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center in Blacksburg, Va. The action is scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. start.
