RADFORD CONCLUDES BIG SOUTH PLAY WITH 4-0 LOSS TO UNC ASHEVILLE

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Mother Nature forced Radford to move its Big South regular season finale indoors as the Highlanders dropped a 4-0 decision to UNC Asheville, Saturday afternoon at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs raced out to an early 1-0 lead, capturing No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.

UNC Asheville (10-7, 6-2) won the next three singles matches on its way to a 4-0 win. Nikhil Mannepalli and Michiel Meekers put up fights, eventually falling (7-6 (7-1), 6-2) and (7-6 (10-7), 6-3) respectively.

The Highlanders (2-15, 1-7) will host South Carolina State in their last regular season match on Monday, before stepping into Big South Tournament play on Wednesday.
