KIDANU FINISHES 4TH IN 5,000 METERS AT LIBERTY

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Five members of the Radford men's cross country program competed in the 5,000-meter run at the Liberty Collegiate Invitational track and field meet on Saturday and two placed in the top seven in the event.

Ashenafi Kidanu led the way by placing fourth overall in the field of 31 runners. He clocked a time of 15:38.12, finishing less than a second behind third place.

Teammate Haben Zemichael followed closely behind, taking seventh position after crossing the line 15:52.20. Neil Lucas was the third Highlander finisher, taking second in his section of the event and in the top of the half field overall at 15th in a time of 16:28.05. Brennan Johnson was two spots behind in 17th, posting a time of 16:39.81, followed by Nathan Burgreen (17:15.03).
