MAGALHAES & MEEKERS PICK UP WINS IN 5-2 LOSS TO PRESBYTERIAN

CLINTON, S.C. – Rodrigo Magalhaes and Michiel Meekers picked up wins in Radford's 5-2 loss to Presbyterian in Big South play on Saturday.

The Blue Hose captured the doubles point and won the first three singles matches to clinch the match with a 4-0 lead.

Magalhaes battled for a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Alexander Lykou in No. 1 singles. The win moves the sophomore to 10-7 on the season and 4-2 in Big South play.

Improving his team best record to 13-4 was Meekers as he collected a 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 win over Jaime Castillo-Lopez in No. 4 singles. Meekers has won two straight, commanding an 8-2 record over the last 10 matches.

Radford will play four of its next six matches at home, closing out Big South play on Tuesday against Winthrop in a 2 p.m., match.
