CALDWELL COLLECTS LONE WIN IN 6-1 LOSS TO WINTHROP

RADFORD, Va. – Radford men's tennis wrapped up its Big South season with a 6-1 loss to Winthrop on Tuesday afternoon as the Highlanders play four of their final six matches at home.

Winthrop (8-6, 5-0 Big South) started the match by taking all three doubles matches.

The Eagles proceeded to take the first three singles matches to seal the match victory.

Radford (8-10, 0-7 Big South) collected its lone win on the day in No. 3 singles as Alexandros Caldwell defeated Leandros Pappayiannis 6-4, 6-3. The win moved Caldwell to 12-6 on the year, while picking up his second conference win.

Rodrigo Magalhaes forced a 10-point third set, eventually falling 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-3) in No. 1 singles to Diego Quiroz.

Radford will hit the road on Wednesday, traveling to James Madison for a 3 p.m., Commonwealth matchup. Â
