ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Radford women's tennis team had a big comeback victory over UNC Asheville on Saturday at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.

After UNC Asheville won the doubles point, Emily Sidor won on court 4 and gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead. Freshman Malin Falk make it a 2-1 game when she defeated Kylee Shipley, 6-2, 6-1 on court 3.

Then Drousile Dzeubou defeated Christin Louw won 6-1,6-2 on court 2 and tied the match at 2. Then Jeanine Acierto won on court 6 which gave the Highlanders a 3-2 lead.

The next Highlander win would clinch the match. That's when Katey Fruehauf came up clutch. She won her first set 7-5 then lost a tiebreak set, 7-6. Freuehauf blanked Taylor Love, 6-0 in the final set to give the Highlanders a 4-2 win.

Anastasia Belyaeva was the final match to end as she fell in three sets.

UP NEXT
The Highlanders travel across the Commonwealth to take on Big South newcomer Hampton next Saturday at 2 p.m.
