MEN’S TENNIS DOWNS LEHIGH, PICKS UP SEVENTH WIN OF THE YEAR

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Radford men's tennis team picked up its seventh victory of the season with a 4-3 win over Lehigh on Wednesday night in Charleston, S.C.
Radford (7-2) opened the match by sweeping the doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.
The Highlanders then captured two straight set victories as Yevhen Sirous defeated Harry Wang on court 1 and Michiel Meekers defeated George Cooper on court 4.
Then Alexandros Caldwell clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Jack Martin-Dyer on court 3. Luckily the Highlanders had clinched the match because the Mountain Hawks won the final three matches for a 4-3 final score.
Unfortunately one of the losses was Matko Varga, who was the only remaining Highlander that was unbeaten in singles play. He falls to 8-1 on the season.

The Highlanders will continue their spring break trip with another match at CofC Tennis Courts at Patriots Point against Marist on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
