MEEKERS AND HIGHLANDERS ROLL PAST MARIST, 6-1

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Radford men's tennis team dominated Marist 6-1 on Friday afternoon in Charleston, S.C.

The Highlanders clinched the doubles point as Matko Varga and Andres Silva won on court 3. Yevhen Sirous picked up his seventh win of the season with a 6-1, 6-0 victory on court 1. He gave Radford a 2-0 lead.

Michiel Meekers clinched the match for the Highlanders and improved to 9-1, but not before Andres Silva won his second singles match of the season. Meekers victory over Max Darrington on court 4 gave Radford a 4-0 lead.

Then Marist won a point as Rodrigo Magalhaes fell on court 2. The final two matches went in the Highlanders favor as Alexandros Caldwell won in two sets and Matko Varga won a 10-point tiebreaker. This gave Radford a 6-1 final victory.

The Highlanders will play its fourth and final match this week as they take on The Citadel on Saturday at 10 a.m.
