RADFORD DOMINATES BLUEFIELD STATE FOR THIRD STRAIGHT VICTORY

RADFORD, Va. – It was a dominant performance from the Radford women's team as they swept Bluefield State, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Radford Tennis Complex.

Not one singles match went into a third set and only one had a seventh point. That came from Drousile Dzeubou, who was the final singles match to finish. She won the first set 7-5 and then blew right through Eva Garcia in the second set, 6-1.

The match began with Radford taking a 1-0 lead with a pair of doubles victories. Once singles play began it didn't take long for Katey Fruehauf to defeat Milica Krnjaja, 6-1 and 6-0 on court 5.

Soon after Marielle Leahy made quick work of Paula Sa'ez on court 6. The freshman picked up her fourth victory this season – and fourth in her last five outings. She gave Radford a 3-0 lead. The Big South Player of the Week, Anastasia Belyaeva, clinched the match for the Highlanders with her 12^th victory of the season.

Malin Falk and Jeanine Acierto were the next two to complete their matches. Falk took court 3, 6-1 and 6-3 and Acierto won 6-1, 6-3 on court 4. Then Dzeubou gave Radford its final point of the match for the 7-0 victory.

The Highlanders will play its final home match of the regular season on Saturday against N.C. Central at 1:30 p.m.
