
Women’s Tennis Takes Down Providence 6-1

ORLANDO, Fla. – Radford (8-6) took down Providence Friday afternoon with a strong 6-1 victory over the Friars.
The Highlanders opened the match with doubles play and set the tone by winning all three courts. Melissa Ifidzhen and Emily Brandow teamed up for a 6-2 win on court two while it was Salma Loudili and Malin Falk who gave Radford the 1-0 lead with a 6-3 win on court one. Wrapping up the doubles wins was Ameek Batth and Camryn McClure winning 6-3.
In singles play McClure was the first Highlander to win with a 6-1, 6-0 victory on court six. Radford's third point on the day came from Brandow who won 6-1, 6-1 and Batth clinched the match winning 6-3, 6-2 on court five.
Salma added another victory to her name on the top court, winning 6-2, 6-4 while Ifidzhen finished things off by picking up her second straight win of the week on court two 6-4, 7-6(2).

The spring break trip has concluded for the women's tennis program and next up is a focus on conference play. Radford will travel to face Longwood next Tuesday at 2 p.m.
