
Men’s Tennis Blows by Longwood 7-0

FARMVILLE, Va. – Radford (9-5, 3-0 BSC) won their third straight Big South match Tuesday afternoon in dominant fashion 7-0 over Longwood.
In doubles the Highlanders were able to take the 1-0 lead with wins on courts one and two. Demis Taramonlis and Andres Silva continued their hot streak together with a 6-0 shutout on court one. Guilherme Severin and Konstantinos Raptis were able to clinch the point for Radford with a 6-3 win on court two.
In singles play Radford continued to be dominant. Silva won his eighth straight singles match 6-1, 6-1 on court three to make it a 2-0 lead. Taramonlis was next with another win on the top flight 6-2, 7-5. Severin was the clinching point for the Highlanders, winning 6-1, 6-2 on court two.
To finish off the match Radford claimed wins on all the remaining courts. Aditya Balsekar was able to win 7-5, 6-3 on court five while Robert Hagen also won 6-2, 6-3 on court six. Raptis came back from dropping the first set of his match to come all the way back and win 3-6, 7-6, 1-0(6).
