BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Hannah Moran finished 36th out of the 48 competitors in the 10,000m run at the NCAA East Preliminary Round on Thursday. The first Highlander to qualify for the preliminary round since 2015, Moran finished with a time of 36:08.24 in the event.
The run comes at the end of a season which saw Moran break the Big South Conference record at 10,000 meters before winning the conference title in the even just a couple weeks later. Battling illness, Moran showed her grit to hang tough in the race en route to her 36th-place finish.
As it stands, Moran is entered in the 5,000m which is set to take place at 8:10 p.m. on Saturday.
