Radford Women’s Track and Field Team Named USTFCCCA All-Academic; Moran Individual

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Radford women's track and field team received All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2022 season. Additionally, Hannah Moran was named to the All-Academic Athletes team as an individual.

The women's track and field team earned a 3.34 cumulative GPA for the 2021-22 academic year for the award. To qualify for the honor, a program must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Nationally, only 150 women's programs achieved that level of academic excellence.

For Moran, the honors come as a fitting cap to a stellar indoor and outdoor season which saw her break six team records as well as one conference record. To qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish the season ranked in the top-96 in any indoor championship event or participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Moran's GPA, paired with her showing at the NCAA Southeast Regional, earned her the nod.

Radford has now been awarded the All-Academic team award for the fifth time in program history, last achieving the award in 2017. Moran is just the third-ever Radford athlete to win the individual award and the first since Ashlen Veatch achieved the recognition in 2015.
