Lindemann, Radford Women's Golf Make History at UNCG Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A record-breaking third round for Hannah Lindemann and the Radford women's golf team earned a 5^th place finish out of 19 teams at the UNCG Collegiate at Grandover Resort on Tuesday.

Lindemann was unbelievable down the stretch, shooting a 5-under par 67 to set a new individual single-round program record. The redshirt sophomore caught fire, recording six birdies in her final 11 holes, including the 17^th and 18^th, to clinch the historic score.

Following rounds of 75 and 76 in her first two rounds, Lindemann completed the tournament at +2, good for T-8 out of 107 golfers in the field.

Freshman duo Grace Addison and Mckenzie Weddle also had strong third rounds, tying for 24^th at 7-over par. Weddle matched her season-best score of 70 in her final 18 holes.

Tying for 50^th at +13 and rounding out the scoring was Macy Johnson, who posted a 74 in the third round for her best outing of the week.

With their scores combined, the Highlanders shot 285 (-3) on Tuesday, which tied the team single-round program record as well.

Playing as an individual, Caroline Gilreath had a great tournament with a scorecard of 79-75-73 (+11) to tie for 39^th against strong competition. Shea Smith rebounded from a pair of tough rounds on Monday to shoot a 79 this time around.

UP NEXT
Next week, the Highlanders take a trip to the Queen City to play in the Charlotte Invitational on Monday, Oct. 16 and Tuesday, Oct. 17. The tournament will be held at Cabarrus Country Club.
