SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Radford women's golf team clinched eighth place as both Hannah Lindemann and Natalie Welsh secured top-20 finishes on the final day of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
Â
The Highlanders shot 319 in the third round to bring their total score to 943 across 54 holes. Austin Peay took home the team title at +42 while Findlay's Gabby Woods topped the individual leaderboard with a +1.
Â
Despite a tough start to the day, Lindemann rebounded quickly and ended up putting together a great round at seven-over par. She triple-bogeyed the 7th hole, where she began on the shotgun start, but shot for par on 12 others and birdied the 1st hole to move five spots up the standings. It's her third top-20 finish of the year and fourth in the top-25.
Â
Welsh will be disappointed with a third-round 82, but staying below +20 for the tournament is a solid accomplishment. The Valencia, Pa. native had one of just five eagles recorded by the entire field over the last three days and shot +2 on Par 3's, a scored tied for second-best out of all competitors.
Â
The brightest performance of the day came from Jimenna Ramirez, who carded a 5-over par 76 for her best score of the week. She birdied the 11th hole on Tuesday, helping her jump up 11 spots in the standings and into a tie for 39th.
Â
Also birdieing the 11th hole was Niki Batac, who stayed consistent and only added two strokes to her score from Monday. She finished the tournament at +30 and tied for 50th.
Â
Jayde Dudley battled through the frigid conditions to shoot an 85 in the third round, ending the trip to Tennessee tied for 65th. Individual golfer Shea Smith wrapped things up for Radford with a T-77th finish.
