CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va – The Radford women's tennis program competed at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championship this past weekend in Charlottesville on the University of Virginia's home ground. The tournament hosted many schools including UVA, Howard, William and Mary, Richmond, Navy, Longwood, West Virginia, Loyola (MD), Old Dominion, James Madison, Virginia Tech, Morgan State, Maryland, George Washington, Liberty, Georgetown, Towson, Marshall, George Mason, Norfolk State, VCU, and Mount St. Mary.
Michaela Stephens (So.) continued her stellar fall season, picking up a win against her Towson opponent in the opening round of the singles backdraw.
Julia Abrams (Sr.) and Lexi Smolder (Jr.) continued to mold their chemistry this past weekend, earning a doubles win in the opening round against their Morgan State opponents, 8-5.

Radford women's tennis will travel to Rock Hill, SC in about a week to compete in the Big South Individual Championships.
