Brandow and Stephens Go Distance in Loss at James Madison

HARRISONBURG, VA. – The Radford women's tennis program fell to a strong James Madison squad Friday night 6-1 with Emily Brandow highlighting with a three-set win on court four.
After James Madison took the doubles point for a 1-0 lead, the Highlanders got a pair of tight singles battles on courts two and four. On court four, Brandow held on and used a dominant tiebreaker performance for a three-set win 6-4, 4-6, 1-0(4). Freshman Michaela Stephens also went three sets after an impressive second set performance before ultimately falling 4-6, 6-1, 2-6.
The Highlanders return to action early next week for their first home match of the season. Radford will host Bluefield State on Tuesday, February 20th for a 1 p.m. serve.
