GIRLS AND WOMEN IN SPORTS CELEBRATION AND CLAW CLIP GIVEAWAY
With National Girls and Women in Sports Day being celebrated earlier this week, the Highlanders are set to continue honoring their women student-athletes, coaches and staff with Saturday's home game. The first 100 fans at Saturday's game will also receive a free Radford claw clip!

SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders and Lancers meet for the second time this season after Longwood took the first meeting 56-51 in Farmville, Va. Overall in the series, Radford owns a 30-17 edge in the series history, but Longwood has won seven of the last eight. Last season when the two teams met up inside the Dedmon Center, Radford came back from an early deficit to defeat the Lancers 64-59 behind 11 points from Joi Williams.

SCOUTING THE LANCERS
After winning their first six Big South match-ups, the Lancers have won just two of their last four to hold a 7-2 record atop the Big South standings. Boasting the conference's best offense and defense, the Lancers are coming off a bye looking to keep the intensity rolling. Three Lancers are averaging double figures scoring in conference play including Amor Harris (11.9 ppg), Kiki McIntyre (10.0 ppg) and Mariah Wilson (10.8 ppg).

DEFENSIVE DOMINANCE
During the Highlanders current five-game winning streak, the defense has been key to victory. Radford is holding opponents to just 51 points per game while averaging 64 points per game on the offensive end. Overall, this season, Radford holds a 7-2 record when their opponent scores less than 60 points.

TOP SHOOTING TEAMS
Radford and Longwood enter Saturday's game as two of the top three shooting teams in the conference. The Lancers have shot 42% while Radford's offense has rallied in the last couple weeks shooting up to a 40% overall mark. Taylor Napper has been the most consistent shooter for Radford, hitting 44% of her attempts for an average 7.7 ppg.
