Tiebreakers Slip Away for Women’s Tennis at Presbyterian

CLINTON, S.C. – The Radford women's tennis program was locked in a flurry of tiebreakers Saturday afternoon but ultimately fell 6-1 in their regular season finale.

The doubles point was tightly contested between the two squads and came down to a tiebreaker. Julia Abrams and Lexi Smolder had a dominant day on the top court winning 6-3. Brooke Murphy and Michaela Stephens were locked in the tiebreaker on court three, but ultimately fell 7-6(1).

In singles, Smolder would pick up the lone win for the Highlanders in straight sets on court three 6-3, 6-4. Murphy and Natalia Reimer would go into a third set on courts four and five respectively, but Presbyterian would take both in the eventual 6-1 finish.
