Track and Field Closes Out Regular Season at Virginia Tech Challenge

BLACKSBURG, Va. – In their final meet before the Big South Indoor Championships, a few athletes from the Radford track and field teams had one last week to improve before the main event of the season.

NOTABLES

Jaslyne Robinson and Leah Moye both set new PRs in the 60-meter hurdles. Robinson completed the event in 8.71 seconds, bumping her up to third on the all-time performance list and third in the preliminaries. Moye set a PR time of 8.88 seconds in the finals, putting her at ninth on the all-time performance list.
Mya Rosser set a new PR in the weight throw. The senior's toss of 15.96 meters (52' 4.5") was an improvement of several inches from her best from last season. Rosser also added a season-best in the shot put.
Sophie Magson just missed out on the podium places in the mile, finishing fourth with a time of 4:52.93.
Kandace McIvor notched a season-best in the high jump.

UP NEXT
The Highlanders will try and shine in their premier event of the indoor season, the Big South Indoor Championships. This year's conference meet is held at the Tryon International in Mill Spring, N.C. Events will be held across Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28.
