Started all 47 games appeared in...majority of game time came at second base with 38 appearances...made 13 appearances at shortstop...one of four Highlanders to bat over .300 on the season, finishing with a .302 average...career-best 38 hits and 11 RBI...scored 21 runs, matching her output from 2014...recorded the first three doubles and two home runs of her career...tied for team lead and second in the Big South with two triples...first career home run came at Coastal Carolina (April 12)...had a double and triple at Liberty to drive in two runs (April 8)...had two-three hit outings this season...one of five Highlanders to have a double, triple and home run...had eight multi-hit efforts.

2014
Played in all 52 games with 51 starts... Regular starter at shortstop once Big South play started at Campbell (3/21)... Swiped a team-high 11 bases in 12 attempts... Tied for third with 21 runs... Posted career-bests with 34 hits, 21 runs, 7 RBI and eight walks... Seven mulitiple-hit contests... Scored a career-best three runs in game three against Presbyterian (4/6)... Career-long eight-game hitting streak in which she scored 10 hits and 10 runs.

2013
Played in 42 contests with 24 starts... Finshed second on team with eight stolen bases... Recorded 18 hits, 11 runs, a triple and three RBI... First collegiate hit came versus Indiana State (Georgia Bulldog Invitational)... Scored first two collegiate runs against LIU-Brooklyn, added a 3-for-4 outing against Cornell and knocked in first collegiate run vs. Rhode Island, all at the City of Clearwater Invitational... Registered first collegiate triple in game one vs. Charleston Southern.

PREP / CLUB
Garnered first-team all-state and all-region honors as a junior and senior... Three-time first-team all-district selection... 2011 Seminole District Player of the Year; batted .485 (33 hits) with 35 runs, 28 RBI and a .956 slugging percentage; posted a 1.54 ERA and 53 punchouts in 50 innings of work... First-team all-district outside hitter for the volleyball squad... Also competed in track & field... Member of the Central Virginia High Voltage travel team.

Full name is Nia Tiara Chiles... Undecided on a major... Nia and her older sister Renesha are the daughters of Renee Jones and Nathanial Chiles... Renesha plays softball at Virginia Union.
