Cantrell will join the program next season as a freshman after playing this past year at Southeastern Prep ... Averaged 8.9 ppg, 6.2 assists per game with a 2.9 assist/turnover ratio and shot 38.6% from three-point range ... With his help, the team won its first ever state championship ... Prior to that, in 2024 and 2025 Cantrell was named to the Texas 5A-6A All-District and Academic All-District teams while ranking top 10 in the Dallas Fort Wayne area for assists ... In 2023, he was a part of the TAPPS state championship squad and accumulated an 83-24 record while competing at the high school level.
