Josh Giardina is in his first season as a graduate manager with Radford after joining the men’s basketball program in July 2020.
A graduate of Marymount University in Arlington, Va., where he was a member of the men's basketball team.
For the summer of 2019, Giardina interned with the Hoop Group, a grass-roots basketball company that does camps, clinics and tournaments. He was in charge of recruiting thousands of players to attend basketball camp at East Stroudsburg University in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He assisted with day to day operations as well as coached and assisted with player development. He also handled finances for registration during camps.
In his time at Marymount he worked as a resident assistant, was a member of the event staff for Marymount’s student recreation center, and helped in the classroom for incoming students as a student mentor.
Giardina graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Marymount Honor’s Program with a degree in Health Science. As a part of the Honors Program degree requirements, he researched the effects of coaching leadership styles on player efficiency for his senior independent study thesis. He was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Leader and was on the Dean’s List during all four years as a student-athlete.
