Johnette Walker became the 18th Highlander to reach the 1,000-point milestone and broke the all-time free throw record last week. The senior from Irmo, S.C., scored a game-high 20 point against Southern Virginia and netted her 1,000th point when she connected on two second half free throws at the 15:02 mark. The senior guard also recorded a career high eight steals and game high nine rebounds against the Knights. Earlier in the week at No. 16 Vanderbilt, Walker broke the all-time mark for free throws, making her 360th in the second half, surpassing Kelli Tull (1996-00). She also dished out a game-high five assists against the Commodores.
