-Over the weekend, Jenkins went 2-0 and did not allow a run in 12.2 innings of work as she matched up against PC and the league's leader in ERA Leslie Hensley. -In the series finally, Jenkins twirled a two-hit gem (3 K), allowed just
four base runners and faced the minimum amount of batters in five of the seven innings with only one runner reaching second base (first inning
double). At one point, she retired 11 straight and went 15 plate appearances in between the two hits (1st and 6th innings).
-In game one, she entered the contest with one out, a runner on second and RU trailing 1-0. After a bunt single, she scattered three singles the rest of the game. -Finished with 5.2 frames of shutout relief, allowing her team to rally for the 3-1 series-opening win. Her shutout ball this weekend extended her streak to 25.1 innings without allowing an earned run in league games.
