
WOMEN’S TENNIS FALLS TO WASHINGTON & LEE, 6-3

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Radford women's tennis team fell to Top-10 Division III nationally-ranked Washington and Lee, 6-3, at the Duchossois Tennis Center Tuesday evening.
The Generals took the lead 4-0 after sweeping the doubles portion and Trelsie Sadler recorded the first singles victory in the No. 4 spot.
Radford's Petra Dajevic and Ivana Tomaic responded with straight-set victories at the positions one and three, respectively, to put the Highlanders on the board, 4-2.
Trailing 4-2, the Highlanders' Sara Tegner recorded a straight-set victory over Chelsea Mixson to make the match, 4-3.
Washington and Lee's Lauren Lukas secured the match with a three-set victory over Mia Drobnjak, 7-6, 4-6, 6-3, on court two.
The Highlanders will travel to Winthrop Friday for their Big South opener at 3 p.m.
