RADFORD SET TO OPEN HOME SLATE THURSDAY AGAINST ROANOKE COLLEGE

RADFORD, Va. -- After playing its first 15 matches away from home, Radford will open its 2012 home schedule against Roanoke College on Thursday with a 4:30 p.m. dual at the RU Tennis Courts.
Off to their best start in school history, the Highlanders are 11-4 (.733) in spring play and currently on a five-match winning streak.
The freshmen trio of Hannah Crawford (11-4), Meg Napolitano (13-2) and Gemma Valls (11-4) lead Radford in singles play.
Napolitano is currently on an eight-match winning streak at the number six position.
After Thursday's match, the Highlanders will travel to George Mason for an 11:00 a.m. contest Saturday.
