First-year head coach Ian Coffey announced Radford's 2012-13 swimming and diving schedule on Friday afternoon. The Highlanders' slate features the annual Highlander Invitational as well as six regular season meets against Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) foes.
Radford dips into the pool for its season/home opener on Oct. 20 hosting CCSA newcomer UNC Asheville.
Following road trips to North Carolina A&T (Oct. 26), Campbell with Brenau (Oct. 27) and Marshall (Nov. 3.), Radford welcomes six other programs to the Dedmon Center Natatorium for the Highlander Invitational. UNC Asheville, Mount St. Mary's, Campbell, North Carolina A&T, Millersville and North Florida venture to the New River Valley for the three-day affair.
The Highlanders conclude 2012 on Dec. 1 with a quad meet at James Madison which also features, Duquesne and Mount Saint Mary's.
The regular season wraps up with four meets, starting with a trip to the Sunshine State for duels against North Florida (Jan. 5) and Florida Gulf Coast (Jan. 7). After a tri-meet on Jan. 26 against Saint Francis and Siena in Loretto, Pa., Radford closes out with the CCSA Duels at Davidson on Feb. 2.
The season culminated on the weekend of Feb. 21-23 at the 2013 CCSA Conference Championship. The three-day event will be held at the Gabrielson Natatorium on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
