WOMEN’S TENNIS VISITS ELON, GEORGE MASON THIS WEEK

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's tennis team visits Elon (Feb. 19 – 2:00 p.m.) and George Mason (Feb. 23 – 5:00 p.m.) this week to continue its five-game road stretch to open its dual season.
The Phoenix are 6-1 on the young season. Their only loss came to eighth-ranked North Carolina, 7-0, on Jan. 23 in Chapel Hill, N.C. to open spring action.
Jordan Johnston and Frida Jansaker play at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, for Elon. Johnston has a 2-4 ledger, while Jansaker is 4-2. Viviana Stavreva leads the Phoenix at the third slot with a 4-1 mark. Bryn Khoury is 3-1 at the fourth position, in addition to 1-0 records at the first and third flights.
George Mason is 1-4 through five duals this spring. The Patriots seized a 5-2 decision over Morgan State on Feb. 2 at Montclair Country Club.
Meg Napolitano will be looking to carry her stellar play from Friday into the Elon dual. The sophomore picked up wins at No. 1 doubles and No. 4 singles against seventh-ranked Washington & Lee (Division III).
The Highlanders' next dual will open their home and Big South slates as Coastal Carolina travels to the New River Valley March 1 for a 2:00 p.m. clash.
