CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Radford men's and women's cross country teams produced 11 personal records Saturday en route to placing 12^th and 10^th, respectively, at the Charlotte Invitational hosted by the 49ers.

The Highlander women had a phenomenal day as each runner completed the 6K course with a personal record. Leading the pack was Teresa Williamson, who crossed the line in 21:57 to finish 15^th. Malina Richardson was next to finish with her 69^th-place performance at 23:11. Emily Marshall completed the course in 23:18 to place 74^th.

Courtney Rice was 85^th at 23:32, while Madeline Thomas was 95^th at 23:42. Katie Hickey (24:13) and Courtney Burton (24:36) rounded out the Radford lineup by finishing 117^th and 129^th, respectively.

The Highlanders accumulated 326 points to place 10^th in the 30-team meet. Led by the top-two finishers, Mississippi State tallied 58 points to edge host Charlotte by three in the team standings. The Bulldogs' Emma Neigel checked in first at 21:24, three seconds ahead of teammate Katie Huston.

On the men's side, Ryan Farnan charted his second top-10 finish of the season by completing the 8K course in a personal-record 25:27 to place seventh. Chris Weeks concluded the race in 64^th at 26:40, while Chaz Porter set a PR of 26:52 to place 75^th.

Daniel Moniak was 78^th at 26:56 (PR) and Alan Weaver was four seconds behind at 27:00 to finish 79^th. Joey Hannah (27:19) and Eric Graves (27:27-PR) finished the meet in 99^th and 111^th, respectively.

RU compiled 295 points to post a 12^th-place showing in the 27-team field. Mississippi State made it a program sweep when its men cruised to the team title. The Bulldogs racked up 48 points to easily outdistance themselves from runner-up Northern Kentucky's 127 points.

Pardon Ndhlovu, who ran unattached, finished first with a 24:46 pace. NKU's JJ Webber was the top collegian with his 24:47 effort, which earned him second place.

Radford returns to the course Oct. 18 at the Blue Ridge Open hosted by Appalachian State in Boone, N.C.
