RADFORD TO RACE AT CROSS COUNTRY ONLY NATIONAL INVITATIONAL

RADFORD, Va. – Radford's cross country teams head out Friday, Oct. 17th for the Cross Country Only National Invitational hosted by Richmond at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va.
The men's 8K will begin at 10 a.m. and the women's 5K will follow closely after with a 10:45 a.m. start time. On the men's side, the race is limited to only schools without a men's track and field program. Richmond will be broadcasting its home meet on SpiderTV.
The Highlanders will head into the meet with some momentum after the women's team grabbed a seventh-place finish at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic two weeks ago.
Senior Teresa Williamson came in second after posting her first sub-18 5K. She led five Highlanders on the women's side that established personal bests on the day. Freshman Brady Guertin paced the men, churning out a PR of 26:13.41.
This race serves as the final tuneup for Radford before the program heads to Boiling Springs, N.C. for the Big South Cross Country Championships, Nov. 1.
