RADFORD, Va. – Fresh off its two-game tour through South Carolina, the Radford women's basketball team has its sights set on three wins in a row when the squad returns to the court Thursday at 7 p.m. against Presbyterian College inside the Dedmon Center.
MEET THE BLUE HOSE
» PC brings an identical 5-17 record into Thursday's matchup after splitting its two games last week. The Blue Hose defeated UNC Asheville (55-41) before losing to Winthrop (51-43).
» Preseason All-Big South honoree Karlee Taylor leads PC in the scoring column with 11 points per game. She is a threat from outside, ranking second in the league with her 38.1 percent mark from 3-point land.
» Fans should expect a defensive battle Thursday as the Blue Hose yield a conference-low 54 points per game to opponents. On the flip side, PC averages a league-low 51.5 points per game, offensively.
» Keyonna Allen collects a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game, while Sherece Smith is the Blue Hose's top free-throw shooter at 75 percent.
PRESBYTERIAN SERIES AT A GLANCE
» Despite Radford leading the all-time series, 12-3, Presbyterian's three wins have come in the previous five meetings. The Blue Hose shot a scorching 52.9 percent from the hardwood en route to their 70-45 victory over RU earlier this year. However, the Highlanders were without the services of starting point guard Breshara Gordon that game.
UP NEXT
» The Highlanders remain at home for Saturday's 2 p.m. contest against Gardner-Webb, which will serve as Radford's annual Play 4Kay game.
