KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Radford was defeated by a pair of top-25 programs on day two of the Citrus Classic, Saturday evening at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex.

The Highlanders (3-6) left 13 runners on base and fell to No. 17 Missouri, 7-1 before dropping the nightcap to No. 23 Notre Dame, 9-0 in six innings.

Missed opportunities plagued Radford in a 7-1 loss to No. 17 Missouri (11-3). The Highlanders matched a season high with 10 hits and put runners in scoring position in all seven innings, but ended up stranding 13 runners, including two or more in five frames.

Megan Honaker, Jessie Hutchens, Julie Gardner and Hayley Tabora collected two base hits apiece. Tabora knocked in Honaker with Radford's lone run of the contest.

A three-run home run in the bottom of the first by Emily Crane put Mizzou up 3-0 before an out was recorded. She finished 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored.

The Highlanders got on the board in the third with a one-out bases loaded RBI single Tabora cutting their deficit to 3-1. They would only muster that run after having the sacks full with no outs.

The Tigers scored four runs over the final three innings to stretch their advantage to 7-1. Over those final innings, the Highlanders stranded six, including the bases loaded in the fifth.

Junior Kelsey Weddle suffered the defeat as she went two-plus, allowing three runs on five hits with three walks. Freshman Abby Morrow scattered eight hits, allowed four runs with four strikeouts over the final four frames.

Following a 10-hit performance, the Highlanders were held to two hits and the 23^rd-ranked Fighting Irish broke open a two-run ball game with a seven-run sixth and went on for the 9-0 six-inning victory.

Freshman Summer Robinson and sophomore Nia Chiles picked up Radford's hits, each recording infield singles.

The Fighting Irish (14-3) tallied a pair of unearned runs to grab a 2-0 lead in the fourth.

The big hit in the sixth was a two-run home run by Katey Haus as the Irish registered seven hits in the frame.

Sophomore Rachael Walters suffered the defeat in 5.1 innings of work. She allowed four earned runs on 10 hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

Radford closes out play tomorrow against No. 25 Auburn at 10:00 a.m. and No. 1 Florida at 12:00 p.m.
