TRACK AND FIELD TO COMPETE IN SATURDAY’S VIRGINIA CUP

RADFORD, Va. – For the first time in the outdoor season, Radford track and field will participate in a team-scored event as the Highlanders head to Charlottesville for Saturday's Virginia Cup hosted by the Cavaliers at Lannigan Field.

In addition to host UVa, Radford will compete against in-state foes Hampton, James Madison, Liberty and Norfolk State. Each head-to-head matchup will be scored as a dual meet.

The men's hammer throw is scheduled as the first event at 11:30 a.m. with Garrett Knudson slated to compete. Courtney Rice will lead the Highlanders in Saturday's first running event, the women's 2,000-meter steeplechase, beginning at 2:05 p.m. The men's 4x400-meter relay wraps up the action at approximately 4:55 p.m.
