FAIRFAX, Va. – Teresa Williamson trimmed nearly one second off her program record in the women's 1,500 to lead three Highlanders competing for Radford track and field at the Mason Spring Invitational Saturday.
Placing 14th in the event, Williamson ran a 4:31.65 to improve the program record she already possessed. She will enter the Big South outdoor championships as the top seed for the event based on her time.
Also notching a Top-5 time in program history was Ryan Farnan, who completed the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:38.93 to take 11th. It was the fourth-best performance for the event in program history, and the best time from any Highlander this season.
Competing unattached, Katie Hickey claimed 18th place with her 2:12.89 in the women's 800.
