VERTKLASSE MEETING: MEET SCHEDULE | PERFORMANCE LIST
RADFORD, Va. – Radford track and field has two meets scheduled this weekend. The majority of the Highlanders will head to Lynchburg, Va. Friday and Saturday for the Liberty Collegiate Invitational hosted by the Flames at Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex. Meanwhile, a few distance runners will lace them up Friday in High Point, N.C. for the VertKlasse Meeting at Vert Stadium.
TEXAS RELAYS RECAP
Competing against some of the nation's elite, Vincent Wyatt lowered the Big South and Radford record in the 110-meter hurdles to place fourth.
Coming off a record-breaking performance, Wyatt reached the finish line in 13.67 to knock .05 of a second off the Big South and school record he set at the Virginia Cup. Wyatt's time ranks fifth in the nation entering this weekend.
RALEIGH RELAYS RECAP
Teresa Williamson delivered the sixth program record of her career, including her second of the outdoor season. She rocketed around the track in 16:55.33 to eclipse the previous 5,000-meter record by 30 seconds. In addition, Courtney Rice, Madeline Thomas, Malina Richardson, Chris Weeks, Chaz Porter, Joey Hannah and Graham Schlickenmeyer all posted PRs during Friday's action.
Ryan Farnan smashed his 10k PR by 20 seconds to stop the watch at 31:22.78 and place 13th. He came within 30 seconds of the program record.
WINTHROP INVITATIONAL RECAP
Kaleice Green won her first outdoor title of the year by claiming the women's long jump with a 18'5.25" mark, which tied for the seventh-best leap in program history.
Ashlen Veatch added six feet to her season-best hammer throw to take runner-up honors. The sophomore unleashed a 171'9" mark to finish less than six feet from Lehigh's Jimil Ataman, who tossed a 177'4" mark.
Courtni Pannell and Jessica Shelton qualified for the 100-meter hurdles final where they finished fourth and sixth, respectively.
BEST IN THE BIG SOUTH
Radford has the top time in four events per Big South rankings entering this weekend. Below are the individuals garnering first place:

Teresa Williamson: women's 800-meter run (2:13.74) / women's 1,500-meter run (4:32.43) / women's 5,000-meter run (16:55.33)
