RADFORD, Va. – Three members of Radford track and field will take to the starting blocks Friday in Louisville, Ky., competing in the Cardinal Twilight at the University of Louisville's Cardinal Park.

The event marks the final chance for the trio to qualify for the NCAA East Regional in two weeks. Student-athletes with the top-48 times/marks for each event punch their tickets to Jacksonville, Fla.

Although already qualified for regionals, Vincent Wyatt is entered in the prelims of the men's 110-meter hurdles in an attempt to lower his time for seeding purposes. The junior is currently ranked No. 3 in the East Region with his 13.65, which he delivered at last weekend's Virginia Challenge.

Joseph Betts is slated for the men's 400 meters. Entering the meet at No. 81, Betts will need to knock nearly half of a second off his season-best time (47.53) to advance.

On the women's side, Jessica Shelton will race in the 100-meter hurdles. Her season-best time (14.07) came at the Highlander Invitational last month.
