SETTING THE STAGE

Radford heads to Lynchburg, Va., for Friday's Big South match with in-state rival Liberty inside the Vines Center.
The Highlanders have not won inside the Flames' home arena in 14 straight meetings.

Radford split its two matches in the Palmetto State last weekend, falling in five sets to Winthrop, before blanking Presbyterian (3-0).
Currently in eighth place in the Big South standings, the Highlanders are just ½ match behind Campbell and Gardner-Webb for sixth place.
Radford ranks second among conference teams in kills per set (13.30) and assists per set (12.24).
RU is third in the league in hitting percentage (.211).

The Flames went 2-0 during their South Carolina swing last weekend, sweeping Presbyterian (3-0), before rallying for a 3-2 victory over Winthrop.
Liberty took the first meeting against the Highlanders this season, 3-1, inside the Dedmon Center in both teams' Big South opener on Sept. 25.
Head coach Shane Pinder is one win away from taking over sole possession of third place among Big South coaches in all-time wins at 221.
Caroline Douglas, who is the reigning Big South Player of the Week, is Liberty's top offensive threat at 3.22 kills per set.
Jade Vorster puts down 2.51 kills per set, while swinging .376 (ranks third among Big South players).
