DELAND, Fla. – Radford cut a three-goal deficit to one early in the second half, however, Stetson countered with an 8-1 run to seize momentum and pull away from the Highlanders for a 16-12 victory Tuesday night at the Athletic Training Center.

Trailing 8-5 at the break, Callie Bonnel and Adrian Rius ignited a quick burst by RU out of intermission to pull the Highlanders within one goal just over four minutes into the second stanza. From there, the Hatters scored eight of the next nine goals to build a substantial lead it would not relinquish.

Radford scored the game's final four goals, which included two from Gracie Peterson. The Milton, Ga., native led the Highlanders with three goals. It was her third straight game of recording at least three tallies. Peterson added a team-high four ground balls.

Rius, who was playing in her home state of Florida, notched a pair of goals to go along with her game-high six draw controls. Bonnel and Juliette Ruland, who scored the game's opening goal in just 12 seconds, also contributed two goals.

Stetson's Hallie Merz led all players with four goals, which included two during the Hatters' 8-1 surge. The hosts ended with a 36-23 favor in shots and a 16-14 edge in draw controls.

Hannah Rosen faced 30 shots on goal, making 14 saves for the Highlanders.

Radford returns home to host Detroit, March 18. Opening draw is set for 2 p.m. from Cupp Stadium.
