RADFORD WRAPS UP SPRING BREAK TRIP WITH 7-0 WIN VS. AQUINAS

ORLANDO, Fla. – Radford wrapped up its successful spring break trip with its third win in a row, defeating NAIA member Aquinas (Mich.) 7-0 for the Highlanders second shutout win in the three-match trip.
The Highlanders opened with a dominating performance in doubles play as the teams of Karlie Pope/Yuliia Popova and Claire Nguyen/Drousile Dzeubou picked up 6-0 wins.
Radford jumped out to a 3-0 lead as Meili Martin picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win over Brittany Mayer. Nguyen followed with another 6-1, 6-0 decision against Kasey Jacobs.
Yuliia Popova clinched the Highlander win with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Kiara Berry.
Radford returns to action on March 13 in its Big South home opener. Hosting Charleston Southern in a 2 p.m. match.
