RADFORD, Va. – Campbell outscored Radford 13-6 on a 20-12 hit advantage to take the final regular season series in Saturday doubleheader action as the Highlanders paid their respects to six seniors in their final games inside Carter Memorial Stadium.

The Highlanders honored Director of Player Development Grant Anders, catcher Chandler Davis, outfielder Luke Wise, right-handed pitcher Austin Ross, left-handed pitcher Mack Krupp and left-handed pitcher Kyle Palmer in a pregame ceremony before the curtain raiser.

The group was a part of 148 wins as well as the first Big South Regular Season Championship in program history, two Big South Tournament Championships and two NCAA Regional appearances.

Game One

One of two Highlanders with three hits in the doubleheader, Wise collected two hits in the opening game, leading off the game with a triple that hit off the top of the right field fence.

Wise scored three pitches later as Kyle Butler lined a single into right-center for his 30th RBI on the season. Entering with a 11-4 record when scoring in the first inning, Radford plated a second run on a Matt Roth sacrifice fly that scored Butler.

Making his final home start, Krupp held the Fighting Camels to a lone run on four hits in three frames.

Campbell's only run off Krupp came on a Matthew Barefoot RBI single in the third, cutting the deficit in half. Barefoot would strike again in the fifth, knotting the game on a leadoff home run, his second round-tripper of the series.

Held to only one hit from the second through sixth innings, Radford managed to regain the lead in the fifth as Carlin Christian and Butler reached via walks. After a wild pitch moved the runners into scoring position, Andrew Szamski provided the first of his two RBIs in the game on a sac fly.

The Fighting Camels fought back again to tie it with an RBI single in the seventh in which Szamski answered with a hit-and-run single up the middle in the bottom half to take a 4-3 edge.

A disastrous eighth inning by the Highlanders resulted in three Campbell runs on three hits and an error. The Fighting Camels loaded the bases twice, only having one runner reach base via a ball hit into the outfield.

Campbell's bullpen held Radford's bats to only two hits in six innings scattered among six different pitchers in the 6-4 comeback victory.

The game saw both teams combine to leave 23 runners on base as the Highlanders stranded 12.

Win: Jack Yusko (1-0) (0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K)
Loss: Evan Threehouse (0-1) (1.0 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K)
Save: Logan Bender (2)

Game Two

The Fighting Camels jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, scoring first for the first time in the series on the first of Christian Jones' two home runs in the game.

Campbell added its second run on a passed ball in the second and the Fighting Camel pitching staff held Radford to a mere two hits in the first five frames.

After Campbell added two runs in the sixth on a two-run single from Joe Zirolli to push the lead to 4-0, Radford answered in the bottom half.

Garrett Matheny led off the bottom half with a single to left field for only the third hit of the game and Wise followed with a triple to left-center for his second triple of the double-dip. Wise's three-bagger gave him his 12th RBI and Radford's first run since the seventh inning of the first game.

Finishing the final game of the series 3 for 5 with three RBIs and two runs, Jones added his second solo shot in the seventh, following with an RBI single in the eighth.

Trailing by six runs, Radford's final run came in the eighth as Wise walked and Butler singled to put Highlanders on the corners with two outs. Spencer Horwitz provided his 41st RBI on his 13th double as the Highlanders dropped the final game of the series, 7-2.

Win: Brandon Jenkins (2-1) (3.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K)
Loss: Hunter Williams (1-4) (3.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K)
