HIGHLANDERS MOVE WITH EASE FOR SIXTH STRAIGHT WIN

RADFORD, Va. – Radford took control early and held on to it throughout the day to breeze past Mount St. Mary's Sunday afternoon for its sixth straight victory.

The Highlanders started their dominance on the doubles courts with the duo of Demi Taramonlis and Andres Silva picking up their twelfth win of the year and fifth straight on court one. Konstantinos Raptis and William Crane clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 win on court three with Yevhen Sirous and Rodrigo Magalhaes also winning on court two.

The wins in doubles increase the team's overall record in doubles play to 28-16 on the season, with 15 wins in dual play. Taramonlis and Silva are unbeaten when on court one while a mix of Highlanders have combined to win six of seven on court two.

Magalhaes was the first of the Highlanders to finish on the afternoon on court four with a swift 6-1, 6-2 victory. Raptis followed him with a 6-1, 6-3 score and Matko Varga had no issues dispatching his opponent on court six 6-3, 6-1.

The freshman Taramonlis battled back after trailing his second set to win 6-3, 6-3 on court one with his doubles counterpart Silva winning decisively on court three. Sirous wrapped up competition for the day with a comeback in the second set to seal the final court 6-3, 7-5.

The seven wins in today's match pushed the team's total to 30 this spring with Taramonlis and Silva both boasting six game win streaks. Sirous is tied for the team lead in singles victories with 12 overall, four of those wins coming on court two for Radford.
