  • Radford closes its six-game homestand with a pair of midweek games against George Mason and Notre Dame.
  • The Highlanders have four straight games and five of their last six, including a three-game sweep of Canisius in their most recent series.
  • Radford outscored the Golden Griffins 34-10 across the three games. The 34 are the most for the Highlanders in a three-game series this season.
  • Colby Higgerson had a series to remember against Canisius, hitting 10-for-13 (.769) with two doubles, a triple, five RBIs and nine runs scored against the Golden Griffins.
  • J.D. Mundy hit a no-doubt grand slam in Sunday's series finale that broke open the game as part of a seven-run seventh inning for the Highlanders.
  • Ryan Bywaters threw a career-high 6 2/3 innings against Canisius in the series finale, giving up just one earned run. Bywaters has a 0.79 ERA across his last two starts. 
  • The Highlanders are outscoring opponents 48-18 across four home games this season. The Highlanders are one of two teams in the Big South with an undefeated home record, along with UNC Asheville.
  • George Mason enters the week with a 1-12 record. The Patriots picked up their first win of the season over the weekend against Winthrop.
  • Notre Dame is 10-2 this season and is coming off a three-game sweep of North Carolina on the road. The Fighting Irish cracked the polls for the first time this week, coming in at No. 24 in Collegiate Baseball's weekly poll.

  • Radford looks to build on its five-game win streak and gets back to the diamond after nine days away from competition.
  • Talia Douglas is batting a team-leading .513 with 20 hits this season. Her batting average is the 10th best in the nation. She's averaging 1.43 runs per game, ranking third in NCAA Softball. The junior leads the NCAA with a .627 on-base percentage.
  • Sydney Fisher enters the midweek series with a 10-game hit streak. It's the second longest hit streak from a Highlander this season. She leads the team with 22 hits.
  • Hunter Mundy leads the team with five home runs, while Madison Canady is second on the team with three. Canady is the team leader with 15 RBIs, while Mundy is second with 14.
  • Jessie Marvin (6-1) is coming off her first career no-hitter win a 14-0 victory over George Mason. She leads the team with 30 strikeouts and has a 1.89 ERA. 
  • As a team, Radford ranks 10th in the nation in team batting average hitting .341 on the season. The Highlanders are currently third with 2.64 stolen bases per game.
  • The Catamounts enter with three wins this season. Two of their wins came in the first three games this season with wins over Clemson and Winthrop. Since then, WCU has lost 10 of its last 11 games.
  • Kylie Shay leads the team with a .273 batting average. She's got nine hits – three of them doubles – and is slugging .364. She's only stuck out five times in 33 at-bats.
  • No pitcher for the Catamounts has lower than a 3.50 ERA. Kayla Brewer has the lowest with a 3.57 on eight relief appearances. Jayme Eilers lead the way with 23 of the team's 50 strikeouts.

  • Radford will conclude its spring break trip with a trip to New Rochelle, N.Y., to face Iona on Thursday.
  • The Highlanders will first take on Central Connecticut on Monday.
  • Radford saw their second win of the season on Saturday with a 18-12 victory over Hartford.
  • Grace Gleason tallied four goals in the match and all seven of her shots were on goal.
  • Bella Signorello and Jennifer Shield each had three goals against the Hawks.
  • Iona enters with a 3-4 record and has no winning streak or losing streak with more than one game. The wins have been against New Hampshire, Central Connecticut and Sacred Heart. 
  • The Gaels are led by the duo of Sara Stewart and Caton Brisbin with 23 of the teams 62 total goals. 
  • Megan Collins has 14 points with four goals and 10 assists.

 
 MEN'S TENNIS

  • Radford hits the road for its spring break tournament in Hilton Head, S.C. to play three matches in as many days, looking to keep their current six game winning streak rolling.
  • The freshman phenom Demi Taramonlis continues to stay hot for the Highlanders, wining another two games on court one in this past week in dominating fashion. Taramonlis also teamed up with Andres Silva with the duo continuining their hot streak with a pair of wins in the past week as well.
  • Both Silva and Yevhen Sirous are tied with 12 wins each in singles play in the past year, with Silva currently riding a six game winning streak and Sirous on a three game winning streak.
  • In doubles play this season the Highlanders are a combined 11-2 on courts one and two this year thanks to the stellar play of Taramonlis and Silva as well as Sirous and Rodrigo Magalheas. The duo of Taramonlis and Silva are still undefeated in dual play this year.
  • South Carolina State has been competitive to start it's season with its one win coming against fellow Big South foe Gardner-Webb. George Mason has played some tough competition including Virginia who was ranked 37th in the nation at the time. Lastly is Norfolk State who has had issues with the weather this year and is still looking for their first victory.

  • The Highlanders are headed to their spring break tournament in Hilton Head, S.C. to play four matches in three days for a busy week packed with action.
  • Radford is currently riding back to back victories over Longwood and Mount St. Mary's where Anastasia Belyaeva swept her competition on court one to increase her record to 7-1 on that flight this spring.
  • Drousile Dzeubou picked up a clutch victory on court two for the Highlanders against Longwood and after another win on Sunday she boosted her win total this year to eight with four wins on court two.
  • Malin Falk and Katey Fruehauf have been a dangerous duo for Radford this year winning four games on court two and another on court one, leading the team with nine victories when paired together.
  • South Carolina State is currently on a four game winning streak with wins against Western Carolina and Towson. George Mason is off to a rocky start this spring but has played some quality competition such as James Madison. Norfolk State has had a weather-hampered season so far playing just two matches, both resulting in losses. Lastly is Western Illinois who is still looking for its first victory of the season.
