Highlanders Move Past Towson

RADFORD, VA. – Radford turned their attention to Towson Friday afternoon and took a 4-3 victory for their second win of the season.

The Highlanders opened the day with a strong performance in doubles play. Malin Falk and Emily Brandow finished first with a quick 6-0 victory on court two. Melissa Ifidzhen and Salma Loudili took court one 6-4 to clinch the doubles point while Tyler Blalock and Katey Fruehauf took court three 6-4.

After dropping court five in singles play the Highlanders rebounded with Brandow taking court four 6-4, 6-1 to move the lead to 2-1 Radford. Falk won court two in two sets to extend the lead to 3-1. After dropping court six the Highlanders clinched the match thanks to Loudili's win on court three 7-5, 6-3. Towson picked up wins on court one to finish the day with a final score of 4-3.

Next Up
Radford will be back in action Saturday against future Big South foe North Carolina A&T.
