Radford Completes Opening Round of 2020-21 Season

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Radford women's golf team finished its first round of the 2020-21 season Sunday at the Kiawah Island Classic.

The Highlanders shot 22-over as a team (310) and currently sit in a tie for 26th out of 41 teams. Radford sits just four shots outside the top half of the field and six shots outside the top 10.

Jayde Dudley led the way for the Highlanders with a 3-over 75 in the opening round and is tied for 34th overall. Dudley was 1-under through the first nine holes. Sidney Walker is 5-over through her first 18 holes, though she shot 1-over on the back nine.

Natalie Welsh and Riko Nagai had a team-high three birdies apiece, with Welsh finishing at 6-over and Nagai finishing at 12-over. All three of Nagai's birdies were on the front nine.

Making her collegiate debut, Jimenna Ramirez finished at 8-over for the day, with her first career birdie coming on the fourth hole.

ETSU leads the field at 2-under through the opening round, six shots ahead of second-place Dallas Baptist. DBU's Faith DeLaGarza leads all players at 5-under, two shots ahead of Towson's Jordan Cornelius and Murray State's Raeysha Surendran.
