Highlanders Drop First Road Match

ELON, N.C. – Radford dropped its first road match against Elon Tuesday afternoon in a 7-0 contest.
The doubles point was strongly contested by Radford, but Elon wound up winning courts one and two. Court three went to the Highlanders thanks to the great performance from Tyler Blalock and Katey Fruehauf who won 6-4. Radford couldn't rebound in singles play as Elon took all those courts as well to gain the 7-0 advantage. Melissa Ifidzhen battled for the Highlanders on court one with a long match ending up at 7-5, 4-6, 9-11.

Radford will stick to the road and North Carolina for another match Thursday at 1 p.m. against UNC Greensboro.
